    Keeping it natural, Diana Vickers performs barefoot on the X Factor

    The eagerly anticipated first live X Factor show was brought to our screens on Saturday night. Quirky crowd favourite Diana Vickers gave a rather unconventional barefoot performance, despite being terribly nervous she gave a brilliantly unique version of U2’s ‘With or Without You.’

    Louis Walsh commented that she was the one to beat in the competition, and Simon Cowell compared her to Marmite! You’ll either love her or hate her.  In a bid to be different she walked on stage barefoot!

    Was she trying imitate the likes of Sandie Shaw or Sheryl Crow with her barefoot performance or did she really just feel more comfortable this way?

    Diana commented that she felt more relaxed being barefoot and didn’t have to worry about falling head over heels in six inch stilettos like some of her fellow competitors.

    Well if performing ‘au naturel’ achieves such an effortless rendition of a U2 classic she seems to be doing the right thing. Perhaps if all the finalists went back to basics their performances would improve?

    Diana Vickers, after Saturday’s show, is certainly one step closer to the finals, albeit barefooted

    • SHE TOTTALLY RIPPED OFF JOSS STONE NOT Sheryl Crow joss and Sandie are best known for it the most sheryl NEVER done barefoot how come no ones seeing that
      JOSS STONE START THIS WHOLE TREND THAT EVERY1 IS COPING AT LEASE GIVE HER CREDIT

      oh and diana Joss already used that “oh i fell more relaxed being barefoot want to fall head over heels in six inch stilettos” THINK OF A NEW REASON.

    • no one did it befroe, 60’s was the hippy era so people did it then but then joss started doing it with her rnb hippy music thingy.
      now EVER ARTIST IN THE WORLD DOES IT befroe no one really did only 60 hippy girls and thats what it was like now everyone from diana kelly clarkson ashely simpson leona lewis it goes on and do not tell me they new about this trend beforesandie shaw did it first starting of the idea look then joss did it and EVERYONE DOES!!!!!! it now it wasn’t as popular as it is now and sooooooooooooo overly done
