It’s an auction that no self respecting shoe lover should miss out on, and all for a good cause. Fifty generous celebrities have donated one or more pairs of their own shoes to the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) fundraising auction, which opened this week on eBay.
The auction, which was launched by stunning ‘Britain’s Missing Top Model’ winner Kelly Knox, will help the charity to raise money for landmine victims.
Kelly hit the big time earlier in 2008, when she was chosen by a panel of judges to win the BBC reality TV show, MAG chief executive Lou McGrath commented, “We are extremely honoured to have Kelly launch our show auction this year.
Despite being born without a left forearm, Kelly has proven disability is not a deterrent for success, she should be an inspiration to the many thousands of people who have been cruelly maimed by the thousands of landmines still threatening lives and communities worldwide.”
Kelly opened the auction, posing with a fabulous pair of Prada boots, custom-made by Prada for former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. Other generous shoe giving celebs include Stella McCartney, KT Tunstall, Jarvis Cocker, Beverly Knight, Russell Brand, and Coldplay front man Chris Martin.
Currently, I’m A Celebrity contestant Esther Rantzen’s Gina sling backs are attracting some bidding attention, and if you have tiny size three feet why not put in an offer for Lulu’s stunning silver and black platform peep toe beauties?
Geri’s Prada boots were awaiting their first bid…so get in there while you can! The auction ends on 4 December, and you can get to it from the MAG eBay site.
