Today we’re speaking to Gemma Cartwright of Catwalk Queen.

After studying fashion journalism at the London College of Fashion Gemma started writing Catwalk Queen in her spare time – little did she know it would become one of the UK’s most successful fashion blogs.

It’s now part of Shiny Media which is also home to some of the Shudoo teams other favourite blogs including Shoewawa, The Bag Lady and Kiss and Makeup.

What is your most memorable shoe of 2008?
There were loads of amazing shoes in 2008, but for me it has to be the amazing Christian Louboutin for Rodarte heels covered in studs and rivets. Talk about killer heels!

Which celeb has the best shoe collection and why?
I’m sure everyone will say this, but this year it has to be Gwyneth Paltrow.

Her Iron Man press tour was a lesson in how to walk in high heels.

She was in a minimum of 5 inch heels for most of the time. I don’t know how she did it, but she looked amazing.

Who is your favourite UK fashion blogger of 2008 and why?
I have to send some love to Fashion Critic of www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com.

She works tirelessly to let the world know who wore what at just about every red carpet event, and her site is an absolute goldmine for celebrity fashion fans. I love niche sites like that.

It’s much better to do one thing really well than to try and do everything half-heartedly!
