Kanye West to launch new footwear range for Louis Vuitton

After months of speculation it has been confirmed that Kanye West, the rapper who is famous for hits such as Gold Digger and more recently Love Lockdown, is set to launch his own range of footwear with Louis Vuitton.

The fashion house, that boasts Madonna as the face of its Spring/Summer 09 ad campaign, is set to produce the all-white sneaker that West has already been sporting.

In picture opposite you can see Mr.West and his girlfriend Alexis attending the last Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris, and in true dedicated style, he shows off his gleaming all-white trainers.

As Kanye was leaving a Louis Vuitton store, Contact Music quoted him telling a crowd of reporters:  ”I was just showing them my new Louis. I can’t show you too much of that, though. These aren’t coming out until June.”

The superstar, who has expressed his interest in designing clothing for US President-elect Barack Obama, had already announced collaboration with Nike for the Air Yeezy Sports shoe, and he has his own fashion label, Past Tell Clothing.

With such a keen eye for fashion, it would come as no surprise to us if West had already picked himself up a pair of Men’s UGGs. Sheepskin boots have been a hit with us girls for years now, but more and more guys are learning to appreciate the immense comfort, not to mention the immense style!

With his fingers in so many pies we can’t wait to see what Kanye comes out with next – maybe an interior design collection? Well, stranger things have happened…
