Peaches Geldof is like Marmite. You either love the young style icon or you hate her constant appearances in tabloids and gossip mags. And this week rock offspring Peaches ran in to somebody who clearly fell in to the latter category.
Police were called to London’s hip Bungalow 8 on Tuesday following what has been dubbed a ‘bar brawl’ by the press.
The 20 year old daughter of professional tramp Sir Bob Geldof got in to something of a fracas after throwing a shoe in to the club’s dancefloor.
Slightly irritating behaviour by any standards but bound to upset someone when you consider that: 1. the shoe hit an innocent bystander and 2. it wasn’t even her own shoe.
So not only did someone get a good George Bush style wallop but someone else had to hobble home with one heel!
According to reports the boyfriend of the shoe-bruised reveller took a violent dislike to Peaches’s behaviour and proceeded to drench her with his pint.
At West End prices – he must have been ticked off. He then threw the empty glass at her, narrowly missing the famous bleached bonce in the process. Cue police intervention.
Of course, in typical celeb style, no charges were brought against either the Geldof girl or her newfound enemy.
In fact Peaches, despite claims she was ‘shaken’ by the altercation, survived to party another day heading out to the launch of a new PPQ store in the capital.
This time though Peaches sensibly stuck to an A-list only event where she hung out with the likes of Mighty Boosh man-about-town Noel Fielding and PPQ’s Amy Molyneux as well as sister Pixie.
We wonder if her choice of tightly laced boots was to remind her not to slip off her shoe under ANY circumstances.
