Katy Perry Hates Celebs Who Sell Out For Shoes

When Katy Perry exploded on to the pop scene a year ago with her killer song ‘I Kissed A Girl’ it was clear that this was a woman who wasn’t going to shy away from controversy – or wacky outfits for that matter, we love Katy’s trademark no-holds-barred style.

So you probably won’t be surprised to hear that Ms P has been making her feelings about celebs selling out VERY clear.

“Most of these ‘beeps’ just hawk breath mints or shoes.  No offence to them but maybe I’ll hawk shoes later in life,” she ranted.  “I work every day and nothing is free.  I’m not some ‘beeping’ idiot wasted starlet lost on an island somewhere.” We can’t imagine who she might be talking about.

Katy claims she’s proved critics who said she wouldn’t be able to take the pressure of pop stardom wrong by selling out a world tour without selling her soul to the corporate devil.  So we won’t knock on her door to front the next Shudoo campaign then.

Elsewhere the pop icon has undergone a major S&M makeover, working the burlesque look for a US magazine Complex.

Wearing sexy black undies, spray on stockings and a slash of her trademark red lippie, Perry finished off her look with some serious heels:
