Falling Over’s The New Standing Up - Prada Model Falls On Catwalk, Naomi Campbell Style

There’s not one of us who hasn’t had the odd shoe malfunction.  And it doesn’t get much more embarrassing than falling off your heels in a crowded bar.

But imagine taking a tumble in front of fashion’s biggest names…exactly what happened to not one, but two catwalk models earlier this week in Milan.

During Prada’s catwalk show at Milan Fashion Week eight inch snakeskin heels proved too much for Miuccia’s models as American face Katie Fogarty, recently seen in Balenciaga’s campaigns, and another model dropped to the floor midway down the runway.

Backstage reports say that the girls were so terrified of the heels that there were even tears before the show started, however fashion doyenne Miuccia Prada was pleased with the trips, saying it made the show ‘more interesting’.

Of course no model should fear a catwalk blooper – not only have the two Prada girls become YouTube stars but if the likes of Carmen Electra and Naomi Campbell (remember those towering Vivienne Westwood heels which bought her to her knees?) can pull it off, going head over heels for designer shoes is clearly the cool thing to do.

And of course if you’re going to fall off your heels you may as well make it count in teetering numbers such as Dune’s Janise and Carvela’s Augusta
