Despite worries that Milan is losing its status as fashion capital (that dreaded recession rears its ugly head again) the Milan shows have not lost that distinct whiff of luxury with fur being the fabric of choice for the A/W 2010 collections.
On the runway Versace mixed futuristic metallics with bright blue and orange furs, Fendi opted for patchwork furs and D&G models strut their stuff in yeti style fur boots.
It wasn’t just the designers who have gone fur crazy. Troubled star Lindsay Lohan teamed her sequin harem pants with a fur gillet for the Cavalli party and was later spotted hugging the designer at the Vogue Event, wearing a leopard print fur coat.
But it was fashions most feared critic Anna Wintour, who really flew the flag for fur. The US Vogue editor was spotted keeping out the cold in a fluffy grey fur scarf at the Vogue event and later as she studied Alberta Ferretti collection at the previews.
But if you don’t have Anna’s budget you can stay warm and stylish with Shudoo’s range of sheepskin boots.
This is so gross, how can people be so insensitive to animal suffering? Fur, leather, wool - please quit all that.
