Here at Shudoo News we are fully embracing the summer sun while it’s still here (you know we will all be moaning about the wind and rain come September!).
One summer trend we’re slipping our tootsies into right now is the cuff sandal. Tipped as the new gladiator, the cuff sandal has the body of a normal sandal but then loosely wraps up and around the ankle.
This versatile style will look great whether worn on the beach or treading the city pavements. Make sure the cuff fits loosely around the ankle though so as not to make your legs look chunky.
The cuff sandal is perfect for tucking trousers into be it leggings, harems or jeans like Sugababes’ Amelle and Rihanna. Alternatively flash your cuff sandals underneath a maxi dress like Emily Blunt.
We love Bullboxer’s Bribe cuff sandal, so much so that we’ve been wearing them around the office. This fab style complete with braiding and buckle detail is available in black and taupe at a bargainous £45!
Grazia’s Shopping Editor Sophie Ferguson Jones has cast her expert eye over Shudoo’s latest collections and picked her must-have styles for Sping/Summer 2010, so get shopping!
Wooden heels are hot property this Summer, whether it’s in the form of heels, wedges or clogs you’ll be onto a winner sporting this trend…
Celebs such as The Hills starlett Lauren Conrad and pint-sized superstar Kylie Minogue have both been spotted strutting their stuff in wooden platforms.
Whether embellished, buckled or strap-tastic any style of footwear with a wooden heel will instantly bring your Spring/Summer wardrobe racing into 2010
Here at Shudoo News we can’t help monitoring Sam Cam and Sarah Brown’s political style as they head on the campaign trail…
So far we’ve noted Mrs Cameron’s simple, tailored faves and love of wedges and converse trainers as well as Mrs Brown’s more ‘mumsy’ approach to her wardrobe with long (and sometimes ill-fitting) dresses not being at the top of our style radar.
Both political fashionistas are eagerly looking to impress and win approval, in the blue corner we have Sam Cam and in the red corner we have Sarah Brown, forget Taxes and the NHS, this is a war of wardrobes!
For us, Sam Cam is striding ahead in with her new challenge of nailing maternity chic, we think her choice of tailored basics and sophisticated patent ballet pumps are the making of a yummy mummy.
Here at Shudoo News we think Sarah Brown needs to mix up her wardrobe with an outfit that doesn’t consist of a cardy, knee-length skirt and court shoes, we know ‘Granny Chic’ is making a come-back but we’re not sure she’s really pulling it off?
However, we do think she may be taking tips from her fashionista friend Naomi Campbell as she always manages to make the most of figure by using a belt to cinch in her waist…
Who’s style is getting your vote? Have your say below…
We were so thrilled when we saw the Sex and the City 2 trailer had been released, we just had to share it with you…
Here at Shudoo HQ we gathered around our computer screens in anticipation and were not disappointed by the 2 minutes of goose-bump goodness!
There are a few surprise appearances from the likes of Miley Cyrus and Penelope Cruz and Carrie bumps into a certain hunky old flame which puts her new marriage to Mr. Big on the rocks already!
We love the fun and playful outfits showcased in the new trailer, think floaty dresses, killer heels and head to toe designer labels… just the way we like it!
Which character do you think will have the best shoe collection this time around?

The age old question, “Is it worth paying more for designer shoes?”…well after hearing about poor Agyness Deyn’s fall at the Fashion for Relief Haiti fundraiser in New York we’re not so sure.
Agyness Deyn faced every super models worst nightmare as she twisted her ankle and fell flat on her knees a la Naomi Campbell tumble 1993.
We thought Agyness handled herself superbly as she picked herself up with a smile only to fall over again, gasp!
After not one, but two tumbles, it was no surprise that she showed fashions most influential audience what she thought of the towering Burberry platforms by removing them mid runway!
It seems it takes a model to tumble to her knees to remind as just how impractical fashion footwear is becoming, with the likes of Victoria Beckham damaging her feet just to keep up with the latest trends!

Lucky Kelly Brook has not had the fate of her footwear choices decided by unsightly bunions just yet. Unlike Victoria Beckham at the moment; Miss Brook is enjoying her towering Christian Louboutins.
Yesterday Kelly teetered on to ITV’s Loose Women in a fabulous pair of Sky high ‘Maggie’ Louboutins, the same style seen on Posh whilst attending a Basketball game.
The 30-year-old received gasps from the all-female panel as she hobbled over in her nude and navy Maggie’s (which her rugby star boyfriend Danny Cipriani bought for her, lucky devil!)
The £595 stilettos boast a 5 ½ inch heel which Kelly comments “I don’t think he (Danny) realises how difficult it is for me to walk in them.”
She added: “I think they are designed to make your bum look small and stop you running away from the boys. That’s why they buy them for you.” Well we wouldn’t complain.

The Grammy Awards were a footwear treat for fellow shoe-aholics, with the red carpet littered with designer beauties…
After covering some rather eccentric footwear choices here on Shudoo News, we thought we’d bring you some more wearable styles, perfect for 2010.
Fergie looked electric in a blue Pucci mini dress, chic gold Judith Leiber clutch and most of all her understated but fab strappy gold Le Silla heels.
Other celebs such as Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Ciara and Victoria Beckham all love Le Silla heels for red carpet events, could this be the next footwear designer to watch out for?

Whilst we’re on the subject of whacky footwear (Kelis and her Alexander McQueen creations) we couldn’t let Lady Gaga’s weird and wonderful Grammy outfits get overlooked now could we…
It’s really no surprise that Lady Gaga out did all other red carpet competition when it came to attention grabbing outfits.
Gaga wore five different custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gowns to the 2010 Grammy’s, each as extraordinary and remarkable as the other.
Her shoes, in particular, were indescribable both for being one-of-a-kind and for somehow being able to keep her balance in them!
We want to know, how on earth she sat down in that ridged, sparkly lilac, solar system ensemble and not take someone’s eye out with the headwear in her second outfit!
Gaga, aka Stefani Joanne Angelina , is truly a fashion phenomenon and never ceases to amaze us with her iconic pieces of fashion art.
We only wonder where she can go next from these outfits…

Now you may find it slightly ironic that these whacky shoes, that Kelis is propped up in, are actually from Alexander McQueen’s ‘ready-to-wear’ collection, really, ready to wear?
We did wonder who would be the first celeb to rock these indescribable shoes, we were thinking more along the lines of Victoria Beckham, a la those heelless Antonio Berardi boots!
However it seems the singer best known for ‘I Hate You So Much Right Now’ and ‘Milkshake’ was the first to teeter out in these incredibly impractical items of footwear.
These works of art would be better off as just that, works of art. Where do we draw the line with fashion and function, is this one step too far?
These shoes are not helped by the rest of Kelis’s bizarre Lycra suit, strange hair-do (similar to that seen on Alexander McQueen’s SS10 catwalk) and dinner jacket…
We think she may be trying to resemble the half man, half goat creature from The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe, what other explanation is there?
As you would probably expect, here at Shudoo we don’t have anything even vaguely similar to these Alexander McQueen creations, but if you’re after footwear you can walk In and look good in, then check out our fab collection here >
If you want proof that you can actually walk in these shoes, watch the Alexander McQueen runway show below ->
*Other crazy A-listers seen in these heels include Lady Gaga and Daphne Guinness.
